Adult Literacy Week
Solomon Group - Panmure Campus had two occasions marked in their diary to celebrate for Adult Literacy Week (7 - 13 September 2009)
Culture & Literacy Hui Panmure library was the place to be on Friday 11 September as Solomon Group and 3 other training organisations gathered to celebrate Adult Literacy Week. Several students from each organisation were asked to talk about their culture. Classes had also arranged posters on boards and were available to discuss their work during a time to mix and mingle with others with light refreshments available. The occasion began and finished with karakia and was a wonderful occasion of sharing acheivements as a result of their course with each other.
Many thanks to the staff at Panmure library and to tutor Abigail McClutchie for organising this event, and to the support of Solomon Group directors.
