The Management at Solomon Group have always been very aware of the importance of Professional Development of our staff.

In 2008 all of the Curriculum staff (22 at the time) undertook the "National Certificate in Adult Literacy Eductor".  This course consisted of concentrated workshops and on the job tasks and the content was able to be directly linked with the specific needs of our students.  Due to Solomon Group's high number of participants the course was able to be run in house and was faciliated by Analiese and Garland from Literacy Aotearoa.   

Staff worked tirelessly to complete this qualification by mid-2009.  On Friday 14 August, staff celebrated this completion with a Graduation breakfast.

Since then Solomon Group have also supported 6 other staff members in gaining this qualification and acknowledging this at staff gatherings.

Solomon Group are also very pro-active in providing training for staff with new technology and resources that staff can immediately use.
