East Auckland TeamCarol – Student Liaison
4.5 years as Programme Manager for a PTE in the Bay of Plenty and wider North Island. Roles included: co-ordination and management of new/existing programmes, induction and training of new programme managers, facilitating/mentoring, student recruitment, programme delivery and assessment, venue/resources, networking with stakeholders, administration and finances, outcomes and relationship management. Involved in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry for 20 years in catering, customer service and management. Personal Statement – One of the Values of the Solomon Group is: ‘everyone has untapped potential that can contribute to a better world’. I feel privileged to be in a ‘front of house’ position with Solomon Group, to welcome and assist people, to identify and develop their potential by developing their own personal pathway. My reward/passion is to witness and join with these same people celebrating success, whether it be an exam, going on to tertiary studies, employment or learning the English language. Quals & Experience – BCom [Marketing], National Certificate in Adult Literacy & Numeracy Education (Vocational) Professionally I have been working mostly in the areas of accounts and administration in several different fields. This has been complemented by various involvement in my church, especially with over 15 years involvement in youth ministry including a year in full time youth ministry travelling in Australia. Personal Statement – I'm loving this role in supporting others to improve themselves and their lives, putting my skills to work. This is a new direction in my life so I'm learning a lot alongside the students here and it's a pretty awesome journey.

Personal Statement – I really enjoy working with adults from different cultures and backgrounds. The commitment they bring to their studies makes for a wonderful relationship between the learner and the teacher. Solomon Group’s holistic approach to teaching ensures that students needs are met which establishes valuable learning in the classroom. It is a very worthwhile experience to help people achieve their goals as they strive to better their lives.
