Quals & Experience – National Certificate in Adult Literacy Education (Educator), Workplace Assessor, National Certificate in Tourism, NZTCB in bar, wine and restaurant service.

4.5 years as Programme Manager for a PTE in the Bay of Plenty and wider North Island.  Roles included: co-ordination and management of new/existing programmes, induction and training of new programme managers, facilitating/mentoring, student recruitment, programme delivery and assessment, venue/resources, networking with stakeholders, administration and finances, outcomes and relationship management.

Involved in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry for 20 years in catering, customer service and management.

Personal Statement – One of the Values of the Solomon Group is: ‘everyone has untapped potential that can contribute to a better world’.

I feel privileged to be in a ‘front of house’ position with Solomon Group, to welcome and assist people, to identify and develop their potential by developing their own personal pathway.

My reward/passion is to witness and join with these same people celebrating success, whether it be an exam, going on to tertiary studies, employment or learning the English language.

Quals & Experience - Honours degree in Psychology, Board registered Psychometric tester (HPCSA) and Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Secondary School), 4 years teaching at Primary and secondary lvel, 3.5 years lecturing 1.5 years working as a psychometric tester.

Personal Statement -  I am passionate about education and am committed to helping people, empowering them and seeing them reach their full potential.  It is a pleasure and privilege to work with a diversity of cultures and see what they have to offer.

Personal Statement -  I love to empower people and bring the best out of every individual.  It is amazing when potential is realised and achieved to its maximum.

Singa 2011Been with Solomon Group since Started at Solomon Group as a student in Foundation Studies from April 2006, and graduated at end of course with a position as a Teacher Aide.

Quals & Experience – Certificate and Diploma from School of Sport (MIT), PE teacher with schools, qualified Aerobics and Kick Boxing instructor, NCALE L5, member of Board of Trustees at Tamaki College.

Personal Statement – I have always had a passion for working with people of all different creeds and race on a professional and social level.  I have applied my life experiences to my work environment which I feel makes me a valuable team member.  I look forward to sharing my life experiences with Solomon Group's students.  My motto: "Sharing is Caring!!"

Julia - Class 1 Tutor

Quals & Experience – Bachelor of Arts Degree (French/Spanish Major); Graduate Diploma Teaching (Primary); CLTA - Certificate in Language Teaching of Adults; National Certificate in Adult Literacy Education; Qualified Legal Executive.

I have taught English as a second language in three language schools from Preliterate to IELTS level. I have also enjoyed teaching primary students from year 1 to year 8 and currently tutor students privately in this age group.

Personal Statement – I love learning and teaching language and I am passionate about helping students to become the best they can be.  It is a privilege to help people to gain literacy and to develop a love of learning.  My role as a tutor has taught me to value the education I have as I have never done before.

Personal Statement - I chose Teaching English as a Second Language because I enjoy the cultural diversity, and helping new migrants become New Zealanders. Being able to successfully communicate is fundamental to them flourishing in their new country.
