Auckland Council Contact Centre Operations


This popular 12-week training scheme will upskill and prepare you for a career in a contact centre at no cost! No experience necessary.

If you are looking to get back to the workforce this is your opportunity for training and employment with Auckland Council.

– Training participants have the opportunity to apply for a role at the Auckland Council however employment is not guaranteed.

Class Schedule: Mon- Thurs 9:00am – 2:45pm. Fri 9:00am – 12:05pm
Class Location: 236 Great South Road, Manurewa, Auckland.

One day a week, you will also receive training at Auckland Council, so you can become familiar with the protocols and processes of their organisation.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Must be a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident

  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Must have basic literacy and numeracy & computer skills

  • Students that do not have NCEA Level 1 or 2 in English or Mathematics will need to show an understanding of mathematics, reading and writing at an adequate level
  • You will need access to internet and a laptop/computer
