Ngātiporou, Ngāti Kahu ki Whangaroa. Frank has been in education for the past forty years, working in mainstream education and has spent 14 years in tertiary education, including AUT and MIT. Judy Solomon

Founding Director
Judy has also been in education for the past forty years. She brings a wealth of innovative ideas and experience to the organisation particularly in the ways that we teach and retain our students. Judy is responsible for Solomon Group’s Education and Curriculum services. BED, TTC (Hons) Dip Hol Ed, SPELD, CELTA, NCALE.
Jenny S

Jenny Solomon

Jenny is a qualified workplace assessor and trainer and also has experience in tutoring in Small Business Management. She was also involved with developing the NZQA ‘Personal Financial Management' Unit standards and is an ANZ Money Minded Accredited Facilitator. Jenny is responsible for Solomon Group’s Operations, Recruitment and Employment services. B.M.S. Kiri S

Kiri Solomon

Deputy CEO
Kiri has an extensive background working in both the private and public sectors. Her previous roles have all included aspects of community development, financial responsibility, client management and creating partnerships between the public sector and government organisations. Kiri is responsible for Solomon Group Operations, the Schools’ Attendance Support (SAS) services and also assists with Marketing and Recruitment. MSocSci (Hons), NCALE

George Gavet

Chief Operations Officer
George has previously worked as Chief Advisor Youth Guarantee (Tertiary) and Student Achievement Function practitioner both at the Ministry of Education. Prior to those appointments he held a General Manager position in the Targeted Funded Business Unit at BEST Pacific. Other roles for George have included being a PTE Senior Advisor at the Tertiary Education Commission, School Manager at the School of Languages at Unitec Institute of Technology, a role which included management oversight of the Institute’s IELT Centre. Michelle B

Michelle Buchan

Michelle has worked in the Tertiary sector for 22 years and within this time has held various roles in administration, facilitation and management. Michelle joined Solomon Group in September 2016 and currently manages the Pacific Employment Support Services and Maori and Pacific Trades Training Contracts. Michelle previously worked as Manager of Education Action Ltd and has also worked for BEST Pacific Institute of Education and People Potential Ltd. Diploma in Tertiary Teaching Level 6, Nat Cert Adult Tertiary Education Levels 4 & 5, New Zealand Certificate in Business (Intro to Team Leadership) Level 3, National Certificate in Adult Literacy & Numeracy Educator Level 5.

Maree has been with Solomon Group since 2012. Maree has worked in Education for 15 years including mainstream, Alternative Education, and Adult Education. Maree’s position prior to Solomon Group was as a Manager at a local Training Provider. Maree is responsible for Solomon Group’s Whanau Ara Mua – (Families Moving Forward), Intensive Literacy & Numeracy, National Certificate of Computing and NZ Certificate in English Language programmes. Sid has been with Solomon Group since 2008 initially co-managing the highly successful Youth Transition Service. In 2011 he started to manage Solomon Group’s Employment Services Team supporting beneficiaries into sustainable employment outcomes. Sid has strong employer and training provider networks. Daniel has had twenty five years in the transport and shipping industry including working for A.G.Walters in Auckland. His role included liaising with local and international shipping companies, importing and exporting organisations throughout NZ for distribution to local steel merchants. Linda W

Linda Warren

Youth Services (YP/YPP)
Linda has worked in the Tertiary sector for 17 years administering and facilitating in the Arts and Business Faculties at AUT and MIT. Linda has a particular interest in ensuring educational success among Maori and Pasifika tauira by actively involving whanau, hapu and iwi. Representation for her iwi on Te Taurahere Tamaki ki Ngati Porou ensures quality access to Education; and, providing a platform for discussion regarding tribal issues. Linda manages the Youth Service Team which specializes in government funded beneficiaries. The region that the service covers stems from Franklin, South Auckland, Tamaki Maungakiekie and Ngati Whatua. Qualifications: NCALE, Cert. in Youth Work Level 4, Bachelor of Maori Performing Arts Te Whare Wananga o Awanuiarangi, and Bachelor of Arts (joint major in Education and Maori) University of Auckland.
